Titanium alloys and titanium products In order to reflect the texture of metal materials and make the surface of metal products smooth and beautiful, many companies will carry out some special surface treatments, such as the common titanium alloy wire drawing process. Titanium alloy wire drawing is a treatment for the wire drawing effect of titanium alloy and titanium products. It has become a very popular surface treatment technology. Nowadays, titanium alloys are used more and more widely, and the market has higher and higher technological requirements for titanium alloy wires, and a series of titanium alloy tube processing products have slowly entered our lives.

Titanium wire drawing is to process the bright surface of the titanium alloy by sanding, so that the bright surface is no longer a bright effect, but a frosted surface. The anti-rust and corrosion resistance of the titanium alloy tube is due to the protective effect of a kind of titanium dioxide on the surface of the titanium alloy, which forms an oxide layer on the surface. After wire drawing, if the surface titanium dioxide is destroyed, the corrosion resistance will definitely be worse, but it is not completely rust-proof, so try not to use wire drawing in places exposed to the outdoors. Since it is an industrial processing technology, it will inevitably use lubricants. In the process of metal drawing and deformation, because the surface of titanium alloy is smooth and roughness is low, lubrication is more difficult, and the requirements for lubricant are also higher. The performance of the lubricant directly determines the quality of the titanium alloy and the surface finish, which is the key to the quality of the titanium alloy wire drawing.

So, what kind of lubricant can improve the titanium alloy wire drawing process? Wire drawing processing is usually divided into oily wire drawing and dry wire drawing. Therefore, the lubricants used in them are also divided into two types: oily and dry. Generally speaking, filaments with a diameter of less than 0.1mm in the final product need to be annealed once or twice. If it is a titanium alloy wire with a diameter of less than 0.21mm, it is drawn with an oil-based lubricant, and the mold can be an artificial diamond mold or a natural diamond mold. In the large-diameter titanium alloy wire drawing, we generally use ordinary tungsten-titanium alloy die.

It is worth noting that before the titanium alloy is drawn, most of the wire surface needs special coating treatment. This is mainly to increase the surface roughness and improve the carrying capacity of soap powder, thereby solving the problem of excessively smooth surface of the titanium alloy. Compared with the traditional oxalate treatment, more non-reactive coatings are currently used, and the coated wire rods generally use calcium-based wire drawing powder when they are drawn for the first time. Coupled with the storage requirements during the production process, high requirements are also placed on its moisture resistance, and non-reactive coatings can respond well.

Compared with the traditional oxalic acid coating, the non-reactive coating has four main advantages: ①The surface coating is even, and it has good adhesion and the ability to carry soap powder; ②In a shorter processing time, the equipment investment is more Low, and the production process is more environmentally friendly; ③It has good moisture resistance; ④It can meet the needs of high-speed drawing.
